Doors open 7pm for the 7-8 club where members can come in and ask questions and receive advice on all aspects of photography. Photo of the month for April is “people” so have those images in early. Meeting starts at 8pm and after the judging of our competition we’ve a treat with our club member Noel Coss giving us a presentation of his motorbike images. New members always welcome.
The first outdoor get together of the newly formed Midlands Photography Group takes place in the lower car park of Glendalough on Sunday the 11th of March at 10am. Bring your camera and a light packed lunch, weather should be pretty ok and don’t forget to post those images on the club face book page when you get home.

Our first Photo Of The Month competition for 2012 will be held next Wednesday 22nd Feb.
The theme for this month is “Places”.
This is quite a broad theme so lots of you will have something that you should be able to bring along. This could be anything from Landscape, Seascape, Urban Landscape, Historical sites, Building interior/exterior etc…
Remember, it’s all about taking part and giving you the impetus to get out there and get snapping.
Your images should be a minimum size of 5x7ins and maximum size A4. Panoramic images 12×8 ins also acceptable.
On the night we will also have a small workshop on how to make it that little bit harder for somebody to steal images that you upload to the internet, helping you to protect your Intellectual Property.
Look forward to seeing you all there next Wednesday at the MDA. Doors open 7.45pm and first thing will be handing in of images for the competition.

This meeting will have the first of our Guest Speakers for 2012. Cyrus Sangari from Celbridge Camera Club will give a presentation on Black & White and Travel Photography.
