Award winning photographer Mike Brown visits our club on the 23rd of March 2010. Venue for this visit will be the MDA centre Mountmellick. Starting time 8pm sharp, please come early, tea and light refreshments served afterwards. John Hootan Club Outing April 10

This trip is a weekend workshop in landscape photography for those wanting to bring their skills to a new level and also for those wanting to head off for a social weekend. As you will see from this photographers images www.john-hootan.com this photographer is in a league of his own. John does ask that those attending have a good working knowledge of their camera.

Itinery

• Meet in Dingle Friday 16th of April 6pm
• Discuss with photographer what we want from weekend
• Saturday, early morning sunrise photography in the Slea Head Dingle area
• Sunday, early mornig sunrise photography in the Slea head Dingle area
• Sunday finish 3pm

Club Outing (January)

Our first club outing will be to Dublin Bay on Sunday 31st of january. We plan to be there at about half tide, this allows great sunrise images of the skyline in this area. Sunrise is just after 8am, so we’ll need to at the car park at 7.45am.

Bring wellies and a tripod, if possible please bring these items if you have them, nd grad filters & a polarising filter.

If you still feel up to it after the walk on the beach, perhaps breakfast in the city centre and a bit of early morning street photography. You should be back in Mountmellick for lunch.

• Prints can be given to other members in the event that you can not attend a meeting

Prizes will be presented at our awards night in December

Club Meeting 27th of January

Tonights meeting is our first of the new year after our AGM. Our first photo competition will run with the theme “WINTER“. This will be the first round of the new league that was voted in at our AGM. Details of new competitions are on the Competitions Internal & External catergories. Best of luck everyone.

AGM 2010 (NEW DATE)

Yes folks it’s that time of year again. Our first meeting of the year will be on Wednesday the 13thof January (NEW DATE WED 20th) in the MDA centre. Due to it being the AGM we  need to start at 7.30pm, this a little earlier than normal, we’ll have tea ready just after 7pm.
