Meeting Wednesday 8th February Guest Speaker In Attendance

Our next meeting will be on Wednesday 8th February in MDA Mountmellick. Doors open at 7.30pm and the meeting will start at 7.45pm.

This meeting will have the first of our Guest Speakers for 2012. Cyrus Sangari from Celbridge Camera Club will give a presentation on Black & White and Travel Photography.

Having viewed some of his work this will be a very worthwhile and interesting presentation to attend. Below are some images which Cyrus has kindly allowed us to display here. All of the images displayed remain copyright of Cyrus Sangari.

Club quiz night Thursday 27th of October

This Thursday night we’ve a funraising quiz night. The venue is the Hallow Bar Mountmellick at 9pm, come early to secure a seat. We have lots of top class spot pirzes including €100 designer clothes voucher, Cashmire scarves, Sony compact digital camera, eco fuels and some top quality home accessories. Quiz master is Michael Lennihan, all are welcome for a fun filled night. Tables of four are selling for €20, contact info@mountmellickcameraclub.ie for further details.

Our next meeting is on Wednesday 14th September 2011 and will be a meeting for all members to enjoy, Tonight we have the pleasure of having guest speaker Adrian Hendroff, www.adrianhendroff.com Adrian has many books published on hillwalking in Ireland and is also a landscape photographer. Adrians talk will start just after 8.15pm and so before this we will have a brief tak on the forthcoming exhibition, doors open 7.30pm with tea served after 7.45pm, Meeting starts at 8pm sharp.

Summer get together Wed 24th of August 11

This is the last of the summer get togethers before the Autumn season starts. Tonight we’re going to be very close to home with our get together venue being “Garyhinch Woods”. This forest is on the road between Mountmellick and Portarlington and is very close to both Portarlington Golf Club and Michael Moore car sales. This is a very popular woods with walkers and there should be plenty here for everyone, toadstools and mushrooms should be in plentyful supply and there is a small river and bridge (this is the bridge where Con took that award winning image) and don’t forget you can just come along for the chat, there’s always plenty of banter at these outings. This one is local for all so a strong turn out is expected.
