Tonight we have the pleasure of a visit by “street photographer” Tommie Lehane. Tommie will be on hand to give a presentation of his street photographs and will have plenty of tips and advice, a night not to be missed, doors open 7.45pm with the meeting starting at 8pm sharp.
Tonights meeting has a presentation by club member Sachin Pollasery with the theme being “festivals”. This is one night to look forward to and not to be missed. Our monthly print showing is on tonight, theme is “Black & White”. Doors open at 7.45pm and the meeting will start at 8pm sharp.
Tonight we are delighted to have photographer Cieran White with us to give us a presentation of his work and Cieran will be on hand to discuss how he puts together his images many of them created using natural light and reflectors. Tonights meeting kick starts our photo of the month/print showing for 2011. We will run two months together, Januarys theme is Winter and Februarys is Night Shots. Our image size has changed from 2010, our new sizes are from 5X7 up to 10X8. Any size between these two are fine. Best of luck to all and again like last year the winning images will take pride of place on the front page of the web site.

Tonights meeting is all about getting to know your camera, have you a function on your camera that you need explained, is there a term that you hear all the time and can’t quite figure out what it means, tonight is the night to ask and we’ll do our best to answer everything. Doors open 7.30pm all welcome.
Our first meeting of the year after our AGM. Tonight we get an idea as to what the 2011 season holds for us all with our list of meetings being presented to members. Mountmellick Photographic Society will hold a special exhibition of 21 framed images in the New Mountmelick Library. The exhibition will contain framed images from 21 of its members. The exhibition will open on Tuesday the 7th of December at 6pm and will run until Friday the 31st of December 2010. The exhibition is open to the general public and viewing is during library hours only. Most images are for sale and would make a great Christmas present.
