Photo Of The Month Competition 22nd Feb 2012

Our first Photo Of The Month competition for 2012 will be held next Wednesday 22nd Feb.
The theme for this month is “Places”.
This is quite a broad theme so lots of you will have something that you should be able to bring along. This could be anything from Landscape, Seascape, Urban Landscape, Historical sites, Building interior/exterior etc…
Remember, it’s all about taking part and giving you the impetus to get out there and get snapping.

Your images should be a minimum size of 5x7ins and maximum size A4. Panoramic images 12×8 ins also acceptable.

On the night we will also have a small workshop on how to make it that little bit harder for somebody to steal images that you upload to the internet, helping you to protect your Intellectual Property.

Look forward to seeing you all there next Wednesday at the MDA. Doors open 7.45pm and first thing will be handing in of images for the competition.

Meeting Wednesday 8th February Guest Speaker In Attendance

Our next meeting will be on Wednesday 8th February in MDA Mountmellick. Doors open at 7.30pm and the meeting will start at 7.45pm.

This meeting will have the first of our Guest Speakers for 2012. Cyrus Sangari from Celbridge Camera Club will give a presentation on Black & White and Travel Photography.

Having viewed some of his work this will be a very worthwhile and interesting presentation to attend. Below are some images which Cyrus has kindly allowed us to display here. All of the images displayed remain copyright of Cyrus Sangari.
