Jan 27th Club Meeting

Tonight we finish our presentation of events for the year, our first Photo of the month takes place tonight with “WINTER” being the first theme. This is a great night for new members to attend as it will be a very informal night.

Jan 31st First club outing of the year

Our first outing is to Dublin Bay. Our plan is to meet at or before 8am, the tide will only be half ways in so we have plenty of time. The idea today is to catch a sunrise with the Dublin skyline in the back round. Details from Paul Whiteley 087-9064000

Feb 10th Meeting Workshop/talk

Tonight we have guest speaker Eddie Mallin who will do a talk on Black & White Photography, Eddie will be on hand to display images that he has taken and to discuss how to see images in Black & White and what works and doesn’t work. Check out Eddies work on www.monosnaps.com, meeting starts at 8pm sharp.

Feb 17th Meeting and workshop/talk

Tonight’s meeting contains a unique workshop/talk that will be of interest to all members, beginner and experienced. Tonight Mark Sedgwick IPF president will present a workshop on seeing and judging a image objectively. This will be become very important when you are preparing images for competition and when you are judging other photographers work. Your competition image presentation will improve greatly when you put some of these tips into practise. Photo of the month tonight is “Night Shots”.

Feb 28th Club outing No 2, Dublin Zoo

We’ve contacted Dublin Zoo with the intention of being able to enter the Zoo before it is open to the general public.

March 10th Meeting Workshop/Talk

Tonight we have a still life workshop planned. Our guest speaker Gemma Guihan will be presenting a workshop on creating still life projects for photography.

March 16th Meeting Workshop/Talk

Tonight we will judge our January and February “photo of the month”, club member Paul Lalor will do a brief talk of photoshop and we will do a brief talk on the club website.   

March 23rd Mike Brown

Mike Brown will visit the club tonight to give a talk and display his images. The venue for this will be the MDA in Mountmellick

April 7th Meeting /Talk

Tonights meeting will have a brief talk on using photoshop to finish your images and bring out the best in them, bring in your images for the March photo of the month “still life”, these will be judged tonight.

April 21st Meeting

Aprils photo of the month will be due in tonight, theme “portraits”, judging will be carried out tonight.

May 5th Meeting

Detail of meeting will be confirmed closer to the date of the meeting.

May 19th Meeting

Tonights meeting will have the judging of Mays photo of the month, theme “Wildlife, Flora & Fauna”

June 30th Meeting

This is the first of the once a month summertime meetings, photo of the month tonight will be “Macro & Close Up” Tonight we will start to pick the images that will be used in the 2011 club calender

July 28th Meeting

Photo of the month tonight will be “action”. We’ll finish the selection for our 2011 club calender

August 25th Meeting

Photo of the month tonight will be “landscapes”
